2004: One of RAHMA's representatives presents
Mudassar Arani with this year's Green Teardrop
'Noble Soul Award' for her outstanding services to the
Muslim
community in challenging Islamophobia through the legal
system.
The presentation took place at the annual Islamophobia
Awards held in
London organised by the Islamic Human Rights Commission
(IHRC).
July
2004: A representative from RAHMA speaks at
a TV interview
with Iranian Television about human rights violations
that Muslims are
facing around the world and discriminatory practices
in the UK.
June
2004: A young raporteur was sent by RAHMA to
attend a week-long seminar held in Budapest, Hungary
to speak on the current situation within the United
Kingdom, and in particular Wales, relating to Islamophobia
and its consequences on young people. The event was
attended by Muslim youth and other young people from
anti-racist organisations from 40 European countries.
